Instructions on the Right of Revocation for Consumers

Definition

A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for a purpose that cannot be attributed to his or her commercial or freelance professional activity.

Right of Revocation

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving a reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the date on which you, or a third party nominated by you that is not the carrier/courier, take possession of the goods. To exercise your right or revocation you have to inform us (Bhutan House e.K., Sägendobel 16, D-79271 St. Peter, +49 (0) 7660-9414092, info@bhutanhouse.org) about your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter consigned by mail, fax or e-mail). You can choose to use the attached sample form “Notice of Revocation”, which, however, is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to inform us concerning your right of withdrawal before the withdrawal deadline has expired.

For goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual consumer’s choice or decision is fulfilled, or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer, there is no right of withdrawal.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, we will immediately reimburse all payments we have received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the additional costs arising from the fact that you have chosen a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard shipment offered by us) and at the latest within fourteen days from the date on which we receive the notification about your cancellation of this contract. For this repayment, we use the same method of payment that you used in the original transaction, unless you have explicitly agreed to something else. In no case you will be charged fees for this repayment. We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the returned goods, or until you have demonstrated that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You have to return the goods immediately and in any case not later than fourteen days from the date on which you inform us about the cancellation of this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the period of fourteen days.

You bear the initial, direct cost of returning the goods.

You may have to pay for a possible diminished value of the goods if the loss of value is due to an unnecessary handling to ascertain the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exclusion of the Right of Revocation

The right of revocation does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods which are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual consumer’s choice or decision was fulfilled, or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.

Returns

The rules in this section “Returns” are not requirements for the effective exercise of the right of withdrawal according to the “Instruction on the Right of Revocation for Customers”.

Customers are asked to keep the postal receipt.

Customers are asked to avoid damage or contamination of the products. Goods should be sent back to us with all accessories and, as far as possible, in their original packaging. If the buyer doesn’t possess the original packaging any longer, another suitable package should be used to ensure adequate protection against damage in transit and to avoid any claims for damages due to faulty packaging.
